Based on my log in goodreads, i have read 235 books this year. It's a good year for me when it comes to books because i'm just starting to discover lots of authors. For example, i never thought i'd like a series like Love at Stake of Kerrelyn Sparks.. or Argeneau Vampires by Lynsay Sands. I also discovered that i love dragons, thanks to the Dragon Kin Series by G.A. Aiken. I also came to understand why Rick Riordan is so famous.. i may not be a big fan of his Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series, but he sure have captured me with his Kane Chronicles. I also discovered that i like reading independent authors' work. And of couurrssee.. i now admit that i'm a sucker for hot-fictional-men.

I know that Unwind, The Mating and Warm Bodies were not published in 2011 but i felt the need to put them here. haha. I did not get the chance to read lotsa historical romance this year so i only have 2 faves.

So there.. i had a blast reading these,, i hope you will enjoy them too.

next stop: 2012 books

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: TOUCH OF POWER

GREAT. GENIUS. AWESOME. FANTASTIC. PERFECT.. and all other beautiful words one can have!

This one is definitely on my top reads for 2011.

Touch of power intrigued me at first because of the cover (uhh yea, i'm a judge-the-book-by-it's-cover sometimes..so sue me!).. and then the blurb which says something about healing.. and me being a nurse and all waited for this book for months and months. When it finally came out, i braced my self since i didn't know if the book will be what i expected it to be. Turns out, i didn't really need to worry... the book is more than what i expected and truth be told.. just blew me away.

I loved Avry on the spot. As in from the very first page, i admired her. She's really a breath of fresh air. I've encountered so many heroines.. the kick ass type, the intelligent ones, the combination of kickass and intelligent type, the beauty-and-brains type, the meek-subdued-not-so-likeable type, the bitchy-yet-likeable-because-humorous type and so on and so forth.. but Avry? she's very different. I can't place her on any of those.

❤I LOVE AVRY's character because:

✔she thinks before she heals meaning she knows triage
✔she's smart and you really can't fool her because her brain functions too fast..
✔she can figure things out in just a small amount of time (which happened with the Death Lily incident)
✔she's honest yet she knows how to use words properly
✔she thinks about others' well being first
✔she knows the value of self sacrifice and definitely doesn't hesitate when it comes to children
✔she gives people the benefit of the doubt (like with Prince Ryne)
✔she's not self absorbed!! finally.. another character who doesn't fuss about herself on every page like everything's about her
✔she's intelligent yet doesn't gloat
✔she learned how to fight because of ★PRACTICE★ which means of course that she's hard working
✔she's also a good teacher (uhm like the time she taught Loren how to cook other stuffs)
✔she's plain yet commands attention because she knows how to handle her self
✔even though she tried hard to not make any connections with people, she managed to win their hearts and eventually became her friends.. her character knows the feeling of fulfillment due to her ability to heal

So there, i like the heroine. Do i like the story? well hell.. DEFINITELY YES! It has a different feel. I felt like i was reading about RAGNAROK (MMORPG), with all the talk about Mage, Acolyte, Monsters, Mercenaries and items. The places they traveled into, people they met and obstacles they had to face... awww that surely sealed the deal into me liking the whole novel. The love part here is just a plus. I also admit to being teary eyed at some point. Avry's point of view sometimes is just too much. With all the things she's been through and people who became close to her, she can't help being affected by them and of course, me as a reader can't help but be affected as well. sucks, but yea.. I was happy, frustrated, sad, fuming and then happy all over again.

Personally, i wish that Flea is still alive. I don't have any other things to hope for on the next book except for that. I hoped that the next book would come out on 2012 but, no such luck because at the end of this first book it says the second one will be out by 2013..anyway.. still, it's another great book to be expected. ヅ

book.fave.rave: OBSIDIAN

May just seems so far away for the next book to come out!

I've been waiting for Obsidian for such a long time. I've been following its blog tours (lika a stalker) and have been hearing lots of good things about it (like a gossip monger) that i don't think i'd be adding much if i gush about it.

I just love it! Gosh, i knew i'll love it but i'm still shocked at my reaction. I mean.. i didn't know that it'll be this good. Honestly, all i can say is that you guys really have to read this! I my self can't get over the story. So many possibilities for the next book (which, again, can't seem to come out soon eneough for me).

I was totally reminded of my elementary years while reading this novel. I used to do this cliche'd thing when i had a crush on someone..

Daemon loves Katy
Daemon doesn't love Katy
Daemon loves Katy
Daemon doesn't love Katy
Daemon loves Katy
Daemon doesn't love Katy
Daemon loves Katy
Daemon doesn't love Katy

and when the last petal drops (i'll make sure i get the timing right ha!)
Daemon loves Katy!!!

Oh yea, it's a love-hate relationship between an alien and a human and it's sooo damn great that you really have to read this!! I'm not saying this just so i'm not the only one kicking tin cans, watching the clouds or pulling out my hair until May 2012 comes (well, okay, partly).. i'm saying this because i'm sure i'm not the only one who'll be swooning over Daemon and hating him the next minute and then back again to swooning.. errr.. i'm blabbering aren't i? lol..

Anyway... i guess i'll just have to wait ... and wait... and wait... until the next book falls at the palm of my hands =)

book.fave.rave: THE SHADOW READER

Did you love The Iron Fey Series? If yes, i think you're going to love this too!!
Of course this first novel in the McKenzie Lewis Series is very different from Iron Fey, it's just that they both have kick ass heroines and a downright perfectly woven story that make me correlate the two series.

The world of Fae is such a diverse one that i couldn't seem to keep up with some terms (like eddarratae). It was both fascinating and intriguing. I have to say that i'm astounded with the different feel of this faery novel. I mean.. shadow reader? how cool is it to come up with something like that? The author is really good. I can almost feel her fae world (which kinda extends to our world) with her description in the book. Even the war seems to be very creative. I mean, it must take a lot of time to make connections between three opposing parties. Seriously, i think authors are sometimes geniuses. =)

I must admit, i was surprised to learn McKenzie's age.. i thought she'd be in her teens.. like maybe 17 or 18. But oh well, i guess it doesn't matter.. so long as i get to read about Kyol and Aren.

Hmm.. Kyol and Aren, what to do with those two hotties? oh i dunno. I like Kyol's character.. he just seems a bit stiff but he's honorable and somewhat the serious type .. while Aren on the other hand is very charming..strong, handsome, sweet, lovable? haha.. lol, let's just say i'm on Aren's team officially although i would love to see more of Kyol. I wish that Kyol and Lena could be an item on the next book. I feel bad for Naito.. i guess i'll just have to see what self-destructive plots he has on mind for the next one.

McKenzie - - a character i truly admire because she's loyal. Oh so loyal that it hurt her that people lied to her. I also admire her because of her resilience (i mean 10 years of serving for the fae king would really push me to "burnt-out" mode). Lastly, i admire her because she admits that sometimes, she's wrong and she accepts things after thinking about it..she also stays true to her self. Her character was made to be a witty, courageous and self-sufficient one that i can't help but want to be her.

So there... i wish the next book would come out fast.

In the mean time, this one deserves a perfect score =)

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: READY PLAYER ONE

i just can't get over this

Okay .. I personally loved this book and really paid attention to it because i am somewhat a self confessed geek. Although i don't have agoraphobia and i'm not really addicted to anything specific (books maybe,ha!), i feel like i'm a geek now because..damn, i knew almost all the details mentioned here about japanese characters, anime, robots, computer games etc. Those that i didn't know, i even searched online.. that's how hooked i was while reading this. The book i so imaginative, i feel like my mind is sooo full of descriptions it could just explode. Lots and lots of action, thrill, fantasy, sci-fi stuffs and a grand tour back to the 80's.. i am totally smitten by Ready Player One.

The idea of living inside a game got me reeling. I my self have been a player of some mmorpg's. I met lots of people.. interacted with them and yes, made friends. This novel however, took the idea of MMORPG in such higher level that i was just sucked into their world. I can definitely imagine an OASIS emerging in our world at about hmm... 50 years later? or less?  ambitious, but POSSIBLE.

I definitely have learned something here. After reading, i knew that lots of people are like Wade.. people who doesn't really go out.. introverts who're more comfortable with being by themselves or say, hiding who they are since they can change personalities online.. but hey, that's their choice and nobody has the right to judge them. I also understood that although it's definitely fun to pretend to be someone else, the happiness doesn't last which is why i love what Halliday told Wade..

"As terrifying and painful as reality can be, it’s also the only place where you can find true happiness. Because reality is real."

I figured, the author must have some kind of precognition that he was able to see some things that are about to happen in the far off future. haha.

I had a blast reading while listening to the audiobook. I was almost sad when it was finished. Can't say i'll be reading it again right away because hey, i'm still in shock and i wanna process the things i just heard and read.

Anyway, this is soooo frikkin awesome! you have got to read this too!

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: SHATTER ME

ONE OF THE BEST YA BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ

I knew it!! i just knew it! I knew i would love this book the moment i added it to my to-read books. Finished the book in three hours. I actually felt afraid to read this because i hate cliff hangers and i kinda convinced my self that this book has one. Anyway, i was tempted and read it FAST. First thing on my mind after reading it? DAMN WHAT A BOOK!. Shatter Me is definitely one of those books that  i want to be made into a movie. Of course, that's just me, since i'm definitely a big fan of the x-men and would always adore novels that has character who has powers and stuff. This novel also proves that we can definitely judge the book by it's cover sometimes. ha! the cover really caught my eyes from the start so i doesn't hurt to have such a gorgeous model in the front eh?

I am definitely a big fan now of Juliette.. my modern ROGUE. Her character is just so damn strong.. and i don't just mean physically (coz she is y'know?) .. her mind and heart is strong as well. Imagine not being able to touch another person for as long as you can remember.. and being locked up for months with no one to talk to. . .that could definitely mess up one's mind right? What a plot baby.. WHAT A PLOT.  I instantly liked Adam when he walked into Juliette's cell. I loved him instantly when Juliette started dropping hints that she knows him and oh.. he's so adorable and sweet when they finally let the cat out of the bag.. i mean when they finally admitted to one another that they remembered each other. Adam's character is also admirable because he's intelligent, he sees through people and he cares so much for his younger brother. I'm hoping that he somehow gets to have a power of some sort too. But even if he doesn't have one, the fact that he touch Juliette is power enough to me =)

It's just plain amazing. I can never get over this series now especially when it's just getting started and i never felt like i'm left hanging. The ending is really good for me.. because all was well and i felt like they're just throwing the red carpet for the next book.

Shatter Me left me grinning from ear to ear. love it! ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: DEVOUR

Let me tell you how i devoured DEVOUR today...

I was on my way to my boyfriend's house so i took a bus and i started reading it. Got down from the bus and rode the train and still, i was reading. Finally at my boyfriend's house and oh boy i was still reading in between conversations and lunch. Boyfriend had to go to a motorbike repair shop and i decided to accompany him there only to find my self sitting down the customer's lounge reading Devour. I was so engrossed that i didn't even noticed it was already 2 hours that i had been sitting there reading the book. When it was time to go home, i was finally near the end of the book. Again, found my self reading at the train and as i was standing inside the bus.. yes, I WAS READING DEVOUR WHILE STANDING INSIDE THE BUS.. and yet I managed finishing the book while everyone was bumping me from side to side. That is what happened today, awesome!

Now, i have to explain why i went through all the trouble just to finish the book. To me, IT WAS JUST THAT GOOD!

I always enjoy a young adult novel wherein the heroine stands up for herself. In Devour, Clara made it to my top heroine picks even though she doesn't have any powers at all. I love her because even if her whole world have certainly changed because of the death of her parents, she didn't let it become such a downer in her life. I also loved her character because she finally ditched her idiotic bitchy group of friends. One of my beloved scenes is the scene wherein she faced Dee. Mygosh, that scene is one of the scenes i wish i would've done in high school.  Finally, i love Clara because she has her own virtues and manages to keep it all in tact in spite of the things that happened to her.

Okaaay.. enough about Clara and more about Eli.. hmm, Eli for me is a typical hero with a not so typical role. Errrm.. he's kinda evil yet he's not. Hmm.. how do i explain. Okay, the nearest one i can compare is Edward of Twilight who also thinks he's all evil because he's a vamp (please don't shoot me for comparing him to Edward, i like both of their characters). Eli's kind feeds of people's negative emotions yet he's drawn to Clara's positive ones. Personally, i love it that Clara bound him to her unintentionally (although not explained in the book how she managed to do this) so that he doesn't need other people's emotions to feed on. It sounds kinda creepy when i say it like that but trust me, it's all good in the book.. i just can't seem to explain it here properly. What i love about Eli is that he's drawn to Clara but not entirely addicted to her. He's not the possessive type, he's the protective one. He's just really good for and with Clara. I love it that he's somewhat the reason why Clara decided to stand up for what is right. And lastly, i love it because he is really trying to be good even though his nature is to be evil.

I think there was i time wherein i felt bad for Tate but one thing led to another and i sort of just didn't care for his character at all. I like Patrick and Sarah.. i hope i see more interaction between both of them on the next book.

All in all.. Devour is AMAZING and i love it! i think the story is quite unique and has so many possibilities. I would definitely love to read the next one. =)
perfect 5! ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: STARCROSSED - PERIGREE

So i read this for about 3-4 hours straight. Couldn't put it down. Honestly, it was just refreshing. It's really not everyday that i get to read about ufo's, aliens and hot guys with compelling voice and a lot more super powers. The protagonist, Luce, is now one of my favorite kick ass girls together with Katniss, Katsa, Clary and many more. She is somewhat still, a typical teenager but i guess being abducted by aliens all throughout her life and being passed between relatives most of her life, i felt like she wasn't a teenager sometimes. I mean, her pov is sometimes that of an adult. I actually felt like she just had to be captured by the "other" side (Smith and the tweedldum&tweedledee) to know how it is for Arik. It kinda did her good. I think after coming out of that feat, she became a stronger character because by then, she understood already what was happening and where she and Arik stands in all that.

my letter to Arik:

Arik oh Arik... i thought you were some kind of "Absolute Boyfriend" -- like in the manga (a robot ordered online for the sole purpose to fit your idea of a perfect boyfriend).. turns out, you are absolutely not..which makes your character perfect! You influence or err.. "whisper" and charm people especially girls, i guess, but you're still half human and you absolutely have emotions. You're perfect in every way... like superman with all the super powers and you're sweet, gorgeous, witty and uber intelligent. I'm definitely adding you to my list of fictional wish-boyfriends! -xx haze (such a fangirl)

So there.. love the plot, love the characters.. a perfect 5! next book please! like now! ^_^

book.fave.rave: CROSSED

Awesome book 2 of the series! Of course, i am for team Ky so this is perfect.. but even if i'm for team Xander, i bet this would be good as well. I think we'll see more of Xander on the next book since his secret is kinda out. Anywayyy.. I love it. I love how they got together again. So many things have happened between them two.. new friends, new acquaintances.. i just bet the third book would be just as good. I love how they fought to see each other and are still fighting to keep the relationship after all. Perfect! just plain perfect =)

book.fave.rave: HEROES 'TIL CURFEW (TALENT CHRONICLES BOOK 2)

I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!!!

The second book in Talent Chronicles is waaayy hotter and more amazing than the first book. I can't stop gushing about it. It's just perfect! Full of action, romance and lots of adventure. I can't get over Dylan ^_^. I wish i had a Dylan of my own.

I've always been a fan of the "teens-with-power" theme so the fact that here in Heroes Til Curfew there are lots of other talented kids introduced is a plus plus plus! I love it. There are scenes wherein i just wanna join them inside the book. haha. talk about obsessive reading.

I had fun reading this and i hope it isn't the last one. I mean, there are some issues which weren't really close y'know? like who exactly feeds information to the NIAC? i wish the next book would just automatically appear on my screen. haha, wishful thinking.

Anyway..i'm giving it a 5! i'll give it a 10/5 but i don't think that's possible. I love it. Heroes til Curfew deserves an applause! ^_^

book.fave.rave: DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE

The book started a bit slow for me. I wasn't sure what the first scenes were for but i continued reading it.. and yes, i wasn't disappointed. The story is great! i would say its a unique plot since the characters are all really bizarre. It wasn't until i was already in the middle that i figured out that the whole story is woven aroun forbidden love. Yes, its a romeo-julliet story. I was reminded of the movie Underworld: Rise of the Lycans with the beheading of Madrigal. There was a scene in Rise of the Lycans that the father of the girl kills her because she fell for the other species. In fact, that scene also had the guy watching while the girl dies..same as here with Daughter of Smoke and Bone. The descriptions here are sooooo thought-provoking that my imagination was working overtime. I love the places, creatures and things described.. its like, again, watching a movie.

I admire their love story. Akiva because he still persued Madrigal even though he knows that the end may not be so pretty for both of them. I admire Karou / Madrigal because she found a way to go back to Akiva.

I just hate it that i have to wait so long for the next book. I'm sure whatever happens next won't be so bad. I'm also quite sure that Karou's family is still alive.. i mean, c'mon.. they're better than that. I guess i would love to see more of chimeara's side for the next book. Lastly, i'm sure that Akiva and Karou will settle their differences and get back together on the next book. I mean, hello, Karou literally defied death for Akiva.. she can't fall out of love in a snap (right? right?). She'll have to forgive Akiva at some point. Awwww...

Anyway... i'll be waiting for the next book... a book which will be out next year and i have to wait months before i can read! err..

its safe to say i'm in love with the story. =)

book.fave.rave: MATCHED

Beautiful, beautiful story. I can't believe i put off reading this (in some way, i'm glad because i waited for the second one ^_^). I think the way the author wrote the novel is just.. fantastic. How she came up with this idea, i may never know.. but i truly admire her. She built this fiction world with so many rules and so many things to consider.

The story's setting is truly one of a kind.. its set to be both modern and old. I guess its leaning on the modern side since they came up with the society when they thought technology was too much (thus, cutting off a lot of technology etc). Its hard to explain. You really have to read it =) I love the plot. I can't imagine having someone else choose my partner for life, let alone a highly statistically rationalized computer based pairing! That's the thing that caugh't my attention. The book really made me hate "The Society". Its like having a group of dictators and a bunch of scientists. Imagine life not being able to read and write what you want.. ugh, now i feel so lucky for having too much freedom. Another reason to admire the author, damn, she really made me feel all sorts of things.

Anyway, i love the characters! Cassia is a great heroine. Her povs are highly justified.. and oh, i just love her because she chose Ky. Xander is okay as well.. in a childhood friend way. As in all ya novels wherein the bestfriend doesn't get the girl, i feel bad for him. I'm happy Ky got the girl, after everything he's been through, he deserves something better. Cassia's parents were really great. I was thinking that the parents would be adamant when it came to Matching Cassia with Xander, but in the end, they were offering to help find Ky. I also love Cassia's grandfather because he's the one who gave her the compact with the poem on it.. which, in turn made Ky and Cassia closer to each other.

Now if only the next book would indicate that Cassia eventually found Ky, it would be perfect! ^_^

I love it!

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: UNWIND

I can't even begin to depict how i feel right now after reading Unwind. It gave lots of things to think about, to talk about and to whine about. I admit to crying at some scenes. I know this is just a fiction novel and all, but damn, some of the things tackled here can be possible in real life and i just can't imagine a decent human being doing them. I feel terrible at the same time, i feel that the author is DAMN GREAT because he managed to make me feel this way.

Anyhooo.. the plot is really woven superbly. I highly admire the author. Its sooo frikkin unique i can't even begin to compare it to other novels (not even GONE series and i loved Michael Grant!).

Let me tell you about those i love here:

First, i love Connor because he stood up, toughened up and didn't waver. I love him because he made me hope that he can and he would help out the other kids being who're all scheduled to be UNWOUND or in any case, chopped into lots of pieces (oh, they don't die.. technically, they're still there, just in so many pieces for other people to use). Second, i love Risa because she kinda brings light to people and gives sanity to Connor. I love that she didn't give up and i admire her mostly at the end. Third, I love Lev because even though he's one of the tithes, he changed his belief that he should be offered up so easily. I love Lev because he rescued Connor and Risa when he could've thought about himself first. Fourth, I love the ending because its a doorway to what'll happen for the next book and mind you, for me its really promising. Fifth, I love the author because he conjured some alternate universe which made me think things through, made me cry, made me smile, made me pity others and made me brave to continue reading until the last page.

So there. THIS BOOK IS DAMN GOOD I'LL NEVER FORGET IT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!!

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: Thoughtless and Effortless

Thoughtless and Efortless are two smashing novels which i won't ever forget. Thoughtless is a love triangle per se. I hated the heroine most of the time because she just can't make up her mind! At times, i wanted to put the book down, but Kellan always pulls me back. Kellan is a one of a kind character. He's soooo understanding at times and then suddenly switches into a moody artist.. but what i love most about him other than he's sooo gorgeous (in my mind) is that he's innocent about love and then he let Kiera in and so began the rollercoaster of emotion. Followed by Effortless which showed a great plot and awesome ending to the series. This is one helluva sweet and sexy novel about love, trust and loyalties. It also taught me a lot about long distance relationship.  I can honestly say that the characters from Thoughtless grew up in Effortless. All in all, i love this series and would forever recommend to all ^_^

MUSIC.FAVE.RAVE: Kamikaze - Owl City

This song is so refreshing! i laughed the first time i heard this because it really sounded like Adam is angry. I love it. Owl City sounds different here. =)

ANIME.FAVE.RAVE: ALICE ACADEMY / GAKUEN ALICE

I started watching this anime years and years ago.. frankly, i don't remember although its more recent than Fushigi Yuugi or Ghost Fighter. What i love about this anime is its flexibility. In a way, this is a very humorous anime, but is also quite a serious one.. but i'm leaning on the idea that the author made this to inspire people and to make young adults learn that everything has a purpose.

The main idea of this anime is that kids has different types of ALICE or powers. It has so many possibilities coming from just that idea. Mikan, the main character of the anime is a very cheerful, resilient and positive girl. I admire her character from the start because when she starts to think about something, she really goes for it with all her heart. If you would watch the anime, you'll see that she is not the brightest in her class, sometimes even at the bottom.. but she always does everything to make her self better. She never gives up. Natsume, her somewhat love interest (at such a young age if i may say so, but yeah, i don't care haha!) is a fiery boy who holds FIRE as his alice. He's so very volatile and moody that sometimes i as a fan don't know which way is up. He's a member of an organization of the school who're being sent to missions to protect the academy in a good or most of the time very bad way. In short, the academy uses his power for their own reasons. I'm utterly captivated by his interaction with Mikan. I think Natsume sees Mikan as a hope that not everything is as bad as it seems.

After watching 26 episodes, i switched over to the manga.. and no surprise there, i loved the manga even more! The manga has been going on for quite some time already (years) that i think I've watched them grow up. The last chapters i read are really "awwww" provoking. Natsume and Mikan finally knows that they both have feelings for each other and both are willing to fight for their future. I can't elaborate the conflict in the whole manga..its just hmm.. too complicated. Lets just say i also want y'all to read it so i'm not giving anything up. haha.

Here are some recent scenes ch 144 i think and ch 145 from the manga. I love 'em!! FINALLY!! ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: Forever Mine

I LOVE IT!!! omygosh, Alex just added up to my list of fave guys in ya! I love the plot!, i mean i loved the plot for the first book but this one tops that. Its amazing how this book worked for me. Alex is just so sweet (AND SUCH A GUY) in his pov's.. i couldn't get enough. Valerie on the other hand is a great character. Stands up for herself but also lets Alex do his caveman thing from time to time. The thrill of the book obviously pulled me in and i swear i laughed out loud at some parts especially the night with Luke .. what a scene! I also love that there are lots of scenes with the other characters. I'm so happy that Angel and Sarah eventually got married (funny i don't think i saw something about Sydney here haha!). Their interaction with family and friends is such a good part of the novel. I'm actually looking forward to the next books.

Perfect. absolutely perfect. =)

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: Flat Out Love

A novel full of emotional ties and family issues. I love everything about it even the lies and betrayals. Its such a heart warming novel that i never noticed the time. I love Matt.. even if he posed as his brother which is completely psychotic and freaky when you look at it that way.. but, i definitely understand why he did it. Sometimes people just needs a coping mechanism to go through everyday after they crash and burn, I figured the twist already in the middle of the novel, so i wasn't that surprised when all blew up in the end part. Its just kinda sad.. i was somehow (just a little bit) hoping that Finn is real (like not dead) because he sounds like a really cool guy. I wish the novel was longer though.. to give way to Matt's personality. I mean, after the novel, its just unclear to me what he really is all about. Its like he's two different persons. But i guess that's the whole point of the novel. Maybe he had to reconcile the two personalities (opposite of Finn and same with Finn). I love how Julie was able to help the family emotionally, with Celeste and all. I figured, Julie has such a strong personality that she was able to break down the barrier of the family against grief.

Anywayyy.. such a lovely novel..  a perfect 5.

book.fave.rave: LOVE UNSCRIPTED

Okaaay.. first thought: The book was sooo friggin long i thought i was never going to finish it. The plot was really good. Its a very sweet novel. Not a bad boy turned good novel. This makes me think of how actors really feel behind the camera. Ryan is so very sweet. Sometimes i think the novel is kinda dragging because there's a lot of dialogue, but it was just okay i guess? it fits the plot and its so damn good. I love it. So looking forward to the next one.

book.fave.rave.ROCK AND A HARD PLACE

This is such a touching novel about teenage love and the harsh reality that sometimes, life isn't all white picket fence. I love how the characters were created and put in the story. I can't and won't find fault..anyway, i am but a reader, not a critic. I think some would say that other scenes here are quite over the top (in a dramatic sense) but hey, to each his own. What scene did i like most? hmm.. i know its quite morbid, but i like the scenes wherein they were torn apart.. and i looovee the scenes wherein the guy was doing everything for them to be with each other again. Honestly, the whole book is .. Unforgettable. =)

book.fave.rave.BREATHE

I admit, the book has its moments. At first, i thought everything about it is just .. hmm.. quite not believable (i always view contemporary novels like they happen in real life.. haha im such a sucker). To justify why it came across as not so believable.. first, they just met and then suddenly the guy is sprouting beautiful words for the girl.. secondly, the girl was , i repeat.. "was" too good to be true.

I don't know where exactly but suddenly, i found my self immersed in the book. Sadie became a really strong character and then i was looking forward to Jax's sweetness all throughout. The twist of the story came as a shocker to me. I remember telling my self "woah you were sooo wrong about this book!". It was a great way to end the story.. i mean, what's sweeter than pulling your girl out of a coma. I love this book. READ IT. ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE.HEART ON A CHAIN

This novel made me feel an array of emotions.. i cried, laughed and had fun all at the same time. I love how Kate fought through all her hardship and the domestic violence and came out of it with courage. I love how Henry took care of her.. how his family accepted her with open arms.. and just.. hmmm.. i just love everything except that somewhere in the end, she's doubting her importance. Anyway.. all worked out well and i bet if you imagine a continuation of their lives, they would've lived happily ever after. Yes, a horrible beginning which ended like a fairy tale.. =) A FAVE FAVE FAVE ^_^

movie.fave.rave.Barbie Princess Charm School

I have always been a fan of Barbie Movies ever since they released Barbie In the Nutcracker. I know its childish but its okay.. i love them and will brag about them especially this one. Great 3d graphics! its like watching a movie from sims 3 (yes, i'm a fan of the game as well). I love the story, its not shallow and i think its kinda for teens? I love the clothes they used here.. even the uniform. Plot is really good as well as the characters' appearances. Love 'em all! ^_^

rave.feelings

Its been a long time since i had a diary of my own. The traditional one wherein i write down my thoughts. Nowadays, i can pretty much type anything on social networking sites.. but its really not the same..not even close.

I am planning on making a new diary.. sort of.. i'm trying to find an electronic diary because i don't want to just use microsoft word. Hmmm...

i hope it works.

For now, i just have to type diligently. =)

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: BEAUTIFUL DISASTER

This novel is definitely one of a kind. I know that it kinda resembles Perfect Chemistry but it has a totally different plot and i love both novels for different reasons. So anyway.. i put off reading this  because its just a random good girl meets bad boy story.. but when i started reading it, oh my, there's really nothing typical or random about it. Its a beautiful story! Don't get me wrong, i am not a fan of violence but the way its written as a part of Travis' character? it makes him sexy, dangerous, frustrating, and even very annoying yet.. he's lovable. I also like how Abby's character is written. I think she's  a really strong woman.. its just that a lot of times, she can be dense adnd very frustrating as well. I like it that she speaks up her mind and i like it that when it comes to Travis, she follows through. I guess from the start of the novel, they were hooked to each other already. Yes, this novel is really like crack. When i finished it the first time, i went back to all of my bookmarked pages (which are a lot!) and after that, i went back to first page and finished the book again. It is an unforgettable novel to me. The whole time i was reading it, its either my heart is fluttering all over the place or i'm anxious as to what will happen next. Definitely no dull moment with Beautiful Disaster. I love it! i'll give it a 10/5 if possible! ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: WHAT A DRAGON SHOULD KNOW

Oh my.. i passed through a roller coaster of emotions while reading this book. It is hilarious of course, with Gwenvael's self loving character and Dagmar's icy tones. The action/adventure part is not bad as well.. i enjoyed every bit of it. The drama part? ooohh that was so unexpected. I admit, i cried a bit. Its just that i really loved Annwyl's character and i never thought they'd kill her on the third book. Anyway, that scene (scenes) really made me sad and diverted my attention from the main characters of the story..but i was really hoping that someone/something will come along and make it all right, turns out i made the right decision of waiting for something magical to happen. haha! i love the twist. I knew it! i knew the author won't really make me cry and just be sad for the ending. haha.

So there.. back to the main characters. I would say that the author again, made the perfect couple. I love their tandem. I think Dagmar's character is built to be damn intelligent and it worked! =) Gwenvael will always be the most handsome among them but will also be the sweetest.

This is my favorite book from the series so far.. ^_^ a perfect 5!
