BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: MOTORCYCLE MAN (Dream Man #4)

DAYUM!!! WHY DID IT EVER HAVE TO END?!!

NO REALLY? WHY OH WHYYY??

Sorry, I can't help but put lots of spoiler below..

be warned..

okay I warned ya!!

Ohmygosh, TACK sure is better than TATE with all the bossiness, machoness, jerkness and of course, sweetness. :)

I knew it! I KNEW THAT I WOULD LOVE THIS BOOK! Tyra is a woman who lived a boring black and white life. She decided to turn and go after a life smacking event in her last job.

"For the next two months I bought the paper every Wednesday and opened it to the want ads section. On each page of the want ads, I closed my eyes and pointed. If I was qualified for the job my finger touched, I applied for it.
That was the extent of my plan."

This event brought her to the motorcycle club.. and eventually, to Tack.

Their story started with a bang as usual.. Tack kicking Tyra out of his bed. Then a few days after that, complications arise.

"So I slept with my boss. Who cared?"--Tyra

“I do not fuck anyone who’s got my signature on their paycheck,”--Tack

Well OBVIOUSLY, Tack cared a lot. He care a lot enough to hassle her for the next few days since he OBVIOUSLY wanted to have Tyra again. It was so darn cute the way they had to control themselves.

Eventually, sparks fly and bam! They're together doing sweet things to one another...

“Now relax,” he ordered.
I stared into his eyes.
Then I stammered, “I can’t… you didn’t just…” I paused then finished, “Relax?”
“Yeah, relax.”
“I can’t relax in your lap!” I shouted.
“Then relax on the couch but you get off the couch, babe, just sayin’… two seconds you’ll be back in my lap.”
“You’re unbelievable,” I hissed.

Here's a scene wherein Tyra was pissed because she think Tack has been ignoring her for four days:

“I don’t know how it works in your world but I’m guessin’ in your world you can lead a man around by his dick by actin’ sweet then turnin’ on the freeze and ignoring his ass for days. Then you think you can shovel shit at him and he’ll eat it for a chance to get another taste of your sweet pussy, but baby, I’m tellin’ you now, that’s not how it works in my world.”--Tack

It's so weird and sweet, honestly.

The sweetest line of Tack (I guess) is this one:

“Tyra, get me right now. You are not gonna slip in a movie about love and redemption and cry by my side because, even though you’ve seen it before, it still moves you and then rip that shit away from me. You are not gonna ride my fingers, whisper to me to fuck you and take my cock the way I wanna give it to you, panting for more and then rip that shit away from me too. You are not gonna clash with me, toss your attitude my way when most every other woman shies away when I’m me then rip that away. And you are not gonna expose that soft spot you got that I like and I wanna protect and take that away from me either. Babe, I told you, you didn’t get it and you need to get it.” His fingers pressed deeper into my skin. “You are Chaos now. I am Chaos. You think you got the option but you don’t. There is no goin’ back. I’ve claimed you.”

--I love that line because it's a sign that Tack appreciated what Tyra was all about and he doesn't want to let any part of her go.

I admit that Tyra annoyed me sometimes when she wanted out. It also annoyed me how bossy Tack is... but I guess that's just part of their team's charm. TEAM TACK&TYRA for the win!!!

Here's also a scene wherein I knew I really love Tack all the way. I don't care how bossy and unrefined he is!

“What I will not accept is being shoved against the wall, a car or even a pillow with your hand at my throat.”
To this, he replied immediately, “But your pulse is there, baby.”

--After this, it was explained why Tack always wants to hold Tyra's neck. I can't imagine a life like that and all I can say is "awwww" :(

And the Tack went and stole my heart again . . .

“You’re in love with me.”
I closed my eyes.
“Eyes, babe.”
I opened my eyes.
“You’re in love with me,” he said yet again.
“Yes,” I whispered.
“Since we met.”
“I know it sounds crazy, Tack, but –”
“Since we met.”
I fell silent for a moment then said softly, “Yes.”
“Thank fuck you needed that fuckin’ job enough to go head-to-head with me,” he muttered.
“Um…” I started to correct, “I think I went head-to-head with you mostly because you were a jerk. It was only partly because of the job.”
“Then thank fuck I was a jerk.”
Who would have ever thought I’d agree with that?
Still, I did.
“Can I have coffee now?” I requested.
“No.”
“Tack!” I snapped.
“I love you too, babe.”
My mouth dropped open and I stared.
But although my body was still and my mind was blank, my belly got warm and my heart tripped before it got light.
Tack wasn’t done.
“Watchin’ that fuckin’ movie, minute my fingers curled around your chin, turned your face to mine and I saw you were cryin’, that’s when it happened.”

--See why I love him? :)

The plot itself is really good (yea, that includes the bitchy, money digging-exwife, two sweet teens and Tyra's new found posse). I had fun reading this. I was laughing out loud (and maybe also drooling when the boys came in) in the part wherein the "POSSE" were drinking and Tyra was so drunk. I can just imagine the joy of seeing all of my beloved men!!! ooh lala!!! I love that all of the past characters got together in the book. Thanks to the author, i was able to see a glimpse of their lives now. I'm so happy for them all.

The only complain that I can have here is that part in the end when Tyra was stabbed and sent to the hospital...

"I felt a hand at my throat.
I opened my eyes.
Tack’s handsome face was all I could see.
Weirdly, except his hand wrapped light at my throat, I felt nothing. Not a thing.
Until his rough, gravelly voice came at me.
“Welcome back, Red.”
Then I felt my lips smile."

--I guess it sounded really incomplete to me. I mean what happened? how did she survive? It wasn't written in great detail. Anyway, that's the only one. Everything else is just plain dandy. :)

I love this..and I'll never forget their series.. but I gotta move on.. so...SHY AND TABBY up next!! ^_^ can't wait!

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: DEMONS AT DEADNIGHT (Divinicus Nex Chronicles, #1)

FIVE WHOPPING STARS FOR SIX HOT GUYS AND A KICK ASS GIRL!!!

I LOVE IT

I LOVE IT

I LOVE IT

Aurora is constantly running from demons. The funny thing is, she can track them all along. She can kill them, but she didn't know it at first. Then she meets her long lost "dwarfs", her childhood friends who were all so very mysterious now and oh so sexy! They face too many battles. I swear, there are lots of fight scenes here.. some even happened so fast that I had to read it again. They eventually find out what they're hiding from each other (except for the diminicus part, which i hope will be cleared up on the next book) and it was all good. Anyway, I love the characters! each of them are unique. They make me laugh so hard. Aurora sure is lucky to have here Hexy Knights! I also love Aurora's family, they're so hilarious and intact. Even Aurora's guardian angel, Gloria, is so funny that I was really laughing out loud.

I enjoyed this story A LOT... Now if only I can have the next book right away... ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: PERFECTION (A Neighbor from Hell, #2)

Title says it all.

I was afraid that this one won't measure up to the first book. As it turns out, I shouldn't have worried at all. The story was really good. I guess any Bradford guy will do. :)

I love their story! I love the Bradford family's stomach! haha. I cannot believe how I adore them. Trevor is just too cute! He's so arrogant and yet, in his own special way... he's also sweet. I love how he eventually grew to love Zoe. They're just perfect for each other (even though Zoe doesn't know how to cook, or isn't very sexy, or isn't pretty too)... even if it took them a lot of time before realizing that.

I enjoyed PERFECTION a lot!! If you want to laugh a lot and love a lot, read this, please. :)

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: FRAGILE

One good emotional YA read!

This novel reminds people that no matter what bad things are happening, you should always look for something good. There's always a bright side for anything. Miracle is one of those heroines that I would want to become. She's a survivor. I love how she promised things to herself when she was still under medication.. and actually doing them after! I'm happy that Hardy found her. Hardy may be a bit shallow at first (everyday-jock type), however, he eventually became not only the protector of Miracle, but also a protector of his family. The grand gesture in the end was really something.

I love it. This novel is now included on my favorites. :)

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: TRUE NORTH

One of the most beautiful ya books I have ever read.

I didn't even paid so much attention to the love part. This book struck me as one of those that you get to read between the lines. Terra is a very strong character. She has so many insecurities but she takes care of the people around her. I'm happy for Terra that she met Jacob and his mom. They became catalyst for change in their little family. It's like suddenly they were enabled and they believed that they didn't really have to be perfect, they just had to be true to themselves. I'm also glad for Terra because she saw past the imperfection that is the part of the world who are blind to true beauty. I totally admire her for understanding the difficulties of her mom and always thinking about her first (goes to show i'm also a mama's girl). Her relationship with her family is one of a kind because somehow, she keeps them intact. Her brothers are always away so it's kinda up to her to keep her mom sane. Their trip to China made me want to go there to some day. I think her mom did some soul searching here which is why she changed right after. Good for her. I always love a character who learns to stand up for herself.

I hated her dad til the end of the story. Sorry, getting the grocery for the first time in history doesn't strike me like a life changing thing. LOL. I guess if the novel was longer, i'd have given the dad a shot. Maybe her dad symbolizes all of the idiots in the world who thinks that beauty and perfection is everything.. and maybe if i think about the novel after a week or so, i'll be able to forgive his character for being a world class a**. Also, Merc.. ugh.. I'm not even commenting about him. He pissed me off half the time just for not showing up.

So anyway, i was really emotionally invested in this one since it's a touchy subject. I love Terra's journey. hmm.. maybe someday i'll geocache as well .. who knows ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: PLAYING FOR KEEPS (A Neighbor from Hell, #1)

Today is one of those days that I really really wish that there was a 10-star app

Playing for keeps is such a cute, sweet, adorable, FUN read! The story's just sooooooo well, uhm, cute! and hilarious! Jason and Haley are just MFEO!!! (MEANT FOR EACH OTHER).. This book doesn't have a dull moment!

I like, love, want, adore JASON. He's such a cutie, hotie.. hmm, whatever.. he's just so nice to Haley that I can't help but wish that I'm her. Haley on the other hand is just as sweet and nice to Jason. It's probably a good thing too that they started out as friends (sort of) and eventually loved each other. I really like their cute conversations, even their fight scenes are awesome. I cannot find the right words to describe it... I just know that I'm soooooo happy after reading this! ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: WHAT A BOY WANTS

FIVE STARS FOR MAKING ME LAUGH INSIDE THE VAN AND AT THE OFFICE.

This book is one of the reasons why I read YA. I read fiction novels so that I can feel good after. I love happy endings. It's always like I'm included in the story for a while.

I enjoyed Sebastian's story a lot.

It was all on Sebastian's POV and I basked in the glory of it all. He's such a conceited guy at first. He believed that love is nothing but an illusion. He even embraced hook-up life by being the "hook up doctor". Everything bounces back to him when he falls in love with his best friend who sought help from the hook up doctor. I love reading about him using the moves (perfected for other girls) on Aspen. At times, I was shouting at him (well, at the book, technically) that his moves are soooooo lame and sooooooooo old school. But he seriously made me laugh with all of his thoughts and ideas. Of course, I know that eventually, he will be enlightened... and he was! It was all good. All it took was for Sebastian to accept that he shouldn't avoid relationships just cuz his mom goes through lots of hardship with it.

Personally, I think it's the perfect set up. I always love it when bestfriends become something more. I love how Aspen is with Sebastian. She was very patient with him (except near the end part). Sebastian, being Mr. hook-up... actually is sweet most of the time. I am now thinking about their relationship as a long lasting one. I read somewhere that when you read, characters become alive for awhile...I guess that's what's happening to me now. I'm thinking as if Bastian is real and he's out there somewhere with Aspen (gawd I'm such a riot bookgirl).

Anywayyyy..... I LOVE THIS. I hope Jaden's story would be as good. :)

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE. STORM (Elementals #1)

Not one, but FOUR HOT guys!

Okay... so I like every one of them, is that so bad? haha.

Storm turned out to be a lot more than what I expected. The story is all about four orphaned brothers who has powers over four elements. They're all very powerful. Unfortunately, being powerful isn't always a good thing... They can lose control. That's where this novel revolved around. Them trying not to lose control and trying to overcome obstacles like "guardians" and other envious elementals. Except for the highschool drama, I love everything this book has to offer. It's action packed, hot-guys-packed (squeeee!) and has a great plot.

Here's some info about the characters:

Michael - The "earth" one. He's very responsible and he acts like a parent to them since he's the oldest. Gabriel - The hot headed one. Probably because he's the "fire" one.
Nick - The easy-breezy one. He's Gabriel's twin and his power is air. He's the peace keeper.
Chris - The water guy. He's the main guy here. He's cool and really strong with the rain.

The main girl, Becca is a girl with a past. She's shunned and treated badly because of one wrong decision. My heart goes to her for what she's been through. She's a good girl and yet, very unlucky before all these started happening. In my opinion, she became lucky when she met Chris. Suddenly, she's in the middle of a war and a love triangle as well. Chris and Hunter were both very protective of her. Although it wasn't clear in the end who she ended up with, at least Chris got to kiss her last (so I guess it's Chris right?), I hope that it's Chris she ends up with.

This is a good start for a series. I'm definitely looking forward to the other guys' books.. especially NICK. I am so intrigued by him. There were also lots of lose ends like Becca's dad. I'm still confused about his role. I mean... what's going to happen next to him and Becca? And Hunter? what's he gonna do next? Is he still going to pursue Becca? I HOPE NOT.

Anyway, i guess it's still a long time before August eh? Hurry up Gabriel! I'm waiting for ya! ^_^

P.S: After reading this, I pulled out my DVD of THE COVENANT and asked my self... are they as hot as the Sons of Ipswich? :)

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: HERE BE SEXIST VAMPIRES

IF YOU LIKED THE X-MEN and would like TO READ SOMETHING LIKE IT... ONLY WITH A VAMPIRE TWIST... the you must read this!

If you look at my past reviews, It's not a secret that I am a big big fan of the X-Men... which is why I really really liked the story of this book. The premise of vampires having powers is just so cool! The characters are amazingly unique and lovable. Jared is a SEXIST guy at first, but then everything changed because Sam is one helluva fighting machine! It's awesome!! I totally admire how Sam's character was crafted. She's very strong in mind and body. I love how she doesn't easily give in. I love her banters with the sexist Jared and with the Jared that fell in love with her. Jared didn't stand a chance. He totally changed his ways. I love him for it. :)

This one had such a good plot that I'm almost sad it ended right away.. I hope there's a next book (if this is a series).

book.fave.rave: TAKING SHOTS (Assassins #1)

WHY FIVE STARS?

Because of SHEA.

WHY DID I FINISH THE BOOK?

BECAUSE OF SHEA.

I guess it's safe to say that I LOVE SHEA. He is one of the sweetest characters I have even come across. He's very emotional and unlike other guys, he's not afraid of commitment. Elli on the other hand... well, I could just strangle her for all the things that she made Shea go through!!! Believe me, I wouldn't have continued reading this if not for Shea. I hated Elli's insecurities. I mean, hey, she can be insecure from time to time (after all she's been through, she's entitled to a little break down) but enough's enough! She was so good at assuming negative things even though Shea has been reassuring her repeatedly! I sure am surprised that Shea stayed in love with her. Anyway, I liked how their story ended. I most especially liked how Shea is with Elli.. with all her girlfriend's insecurities, I thought he wouldn't stand it!

All in all, this one has a good story and a really really good hero.. can't say much for the heroine though. :)

book.fave.rave: FERAL SINS (The Phoenix Pack, # 1)

One of the best shifter stories that I have ever come across.

I am so lucky that one of my friends asked me about this book. At first I was skeptic, but then i was really curious so I started reading it...and damn, i felt great! It was definitely worth my time. I love how hilarious and intense it is. The characters were great. I always love a woman who could kick ass. Taryn's situation is kind of like were-cinderella-ish (her inability to shift, and then suddenly chosen by a very powerful alpha..and then there was her inner alpha power which was definitely strong..and then bam! she can shift!! ) but she's very witty and can very much hold her own against anybody. Trey on the other hand is an alpha all the way, super protective and such a badass. He may be stubborn at times, but I am actually pleased that even if he's alpha and all, he's also very very sweet when it comes to Taryn. I like the plot. I love their banters. I cannot count the times wherein I laughed out loud because of something Taryn, Dominic or Greta said. Seriously, they're all hilariously funny!

The only thing that I found awkward here is the scene wherein Trey let the other enforcers touch Taryn .. I guess I'm just not a fan of that.. I enjoyed reading this. The whole pack is great!

They brightened up my day. I really liked it. :) I hope the next one will be as good as this.

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: A RECLUSIVE HEART (Hollywood Hearts, #2)

Wonderful.

To me, "A Reclusive Heart" is better than "A Humble Heart". Why? Because it's light hearted and friggin hilarious! HAHA! I kept on laughing out loud from start to finish. Nick's journey to being in love with his "recluse" is just too cute to miss! I want a NICK too!!! He's very pushy and yet, he's sweet too. Jamie on the other hand, is somewhat a swan. She transformed from a "hermit-like" woman to very very attractive one. She's an author too like Dana in book 1. They eventually fall in love and I'm telling y'all, they were soooo cute! Especially Nick's pov's.

I am so happy with this novel. This is such a refreshingly great read. I hope that the next one would also make me feel like this. ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: TALL, DARK & LONELY (Pyte/Sentinel #1)

How can one novel make me laugh hard, cringe, gag, and then laugh again, be angry for the main characters, and then gag again and then oh, laugh out loud again because they're just so friggin perfect for each other? How? How? How? I really wanna know.

How does this novel feel like?

It is a roller coaster ride! It is a ferris wheel on a X 10 mode. It is a race to finish with hard bumps and tame roads. It most defiinitely feels as if I'm a bouncing ball. High, low, high, low, high, low.

This is the first novel of R.L. Mathewson that i've read. I wasn't sure what to expect. I actually just read this because lots of my friends did. I thought that i was reading a contemporary romance until i turned the first page. I was like "Oooh.. goody, a vampire novel.. let's see if it's any good"... And oh, YES IT IS! I wasn't disappointed because this made me feel lots of emotions.

I like it that the two main characters can stand on their own. I like it that Madison can take care of her self. When they fight, she's not a push over. I also like how she cares for each and every one of her family members. I hated her mother mainly because she's a bitch.. INDEED SHE IS!!! She's horrible and incorrigible! I love it that she met Ephraim at the right time. She met him when she needed someone the most. Their foreplay were so cute. Haha. I was totally laughing out loud. Ephraim is a character who's kind of hard to forget since he's a mixture of history, sexyness, bad ass and sweetness. Can a reader be happy for one character? If possible, I am so happy for Ephraim because he was able to find someone that'll be his forever. He's very responsible and also kind to others so I think he deserves Madison and the kids.

The plot was good too. The mystery behind Pyte/Sentinel is very intriguing and I'd love to see them more in action.

I love their kind of happily ever after. ^_^

I will definitely read the next book..

book.fave.rave: ABOUT THAT NIGHT (FBI / US Attorney #3)

LIKE WOW

I enjoyed this one as expected since i'm a big big big big like totally BIG fan of Julie James. As expected, About that night is hilariously sweet. I looooveee Kyle. He's probably 2nd in line (Jason will always be my number one) for my list of lovable characters by Julie James. I enjoyed his pov's mainly because he's hot and yet super sweet. His thoughts makes my heart flutter. On the other hand, Rylann is also very likeable. She's a planner. She has this month-long or years-long plans and she does her best to make them happen. I like that she takes her job very seriously. I also love that she's sassy and has come-backs for everything Kyle says. The plot is pretty interesting and yes, the circumstance for which Kyle was convicted was sooo damn funny I ate it all up. haha. The ending may be a little anticlimactic, but still, it doesn't change the fact that this one made my day just by being light-hearted.

FTW JULIE JAMES~~~ ^_^

book.fave.rave: CHASING MCCREE

Is this really a young adult novel?

Cuz it didn't feel like one... It was so much more.

Chase is a teenage cowboy. A very very wealthy owner of a ranch at 17 years old. Even though he's very rich, he didn't let it get to his head. All he ever wanted was to run the ranch in peace. He was currently with his mom in Florida when he met the cheerleader, Briar. Their circumstance is very unusual. They are so very young but they acted as if they're already in their 20's. Briar's parents are always incognito and are always keeping up appearances. They care so much for money that they forget that they have a child. Maybe that's why Briar knows how to be alone and take care of her self. Anyway, Chase and Briar became friends. Briar comes with Chase to Montana and there began their love story.

The plot was a bit surreal. I swear, the story is like a fairy tale. You know that this couldn't happen in real life but you're still happy reading it because you know it's going to have a good ending. This novel made me want to be a country girl. :)

book.fave.rave: BLUE-EYED DEVIL (Travises #2)

Blue-Eyed Devil (Travises, #2)

A gripping, emotional and fun read.

Haven may have come from a wealthy family, but she doesn't want to use that wealth for her self. She didn't have a good marriage. In fact, it was so bad that i wanted to pull out her ex-husband from the book.. yeah, pull him out and cut out his balls. Violence against women is never an easy topic. There were times that i really wanted Nick to be real, just so i can send him to prison my self! It's good that Hardy came back to her life. Hardy also has a bad past. He didn't have a great childhood. He always wants to save people. He was very sweet to Haven. I like how he understood Haven's situation. Anywayyy, Hardy and Haven are made of each other. They may have been side tracked at first, but they found each other again. =)

Good plot. Lovable characters. Awesome story...

nature.fave.rave

I had my very first company outing ever...

'Twas fun! I can't believe how much I enjoyed my self ...

Until next time :)

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: GRAVE MERCY

JUST PLAIN PERFECT

And just what I needed after working the whole week.

I was so intrigued about this. Nuns as assassins? out.of.this.world!

Ismae's character is very likable. She had a nasty childhood. It was good that she was brought to the convent. She learned how to fight for her self. When she met Duval, I knew there was something! ^_^ Duval is just the kind of man for Ismae. Strong, loyal and so very smart. I love how he figures out what who not to trust and what to do next. I am so happy that their romance with was not halted. I would have hated this book had Duval died.

The story is very good..cunning and intelligently written. Although I am not familiar with the history involved in this novel, I was able to understand what was happening because the author laid it all in there. I was never bored. The ending is just.. awesome! No cliff hangers! I am so happy right now that i swear i am going to wait for the next book! =)

~~Lovely!

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: LAW MAN (Dream Man #3)

FANTASTIC!

Where am i? I'm at work! But I just finished Mara and Mitch's story.. and i can't help but gush about it!

I am positively hyped up. I love MARA and MITCH (mnm's!! ^_^). As expected, with Kristen Ashley.. she really has a knack for creating fresh, vibrant and beautiful characters. Mara is unique! pretty much different from all heroines in contemporary romances i have read. I love her personality. She's a dork or so she says everytime. She keeps to herself and very quiet at first. I admit that she was weird at first, like stalker-ish and sher groups people into grades and all. Her self confidence needed work...and that's why I LOVE MITCH.

Mitch oh Mitch..where do i even start with your yummyness? hmm.. oh well, that's just it. He's friggin perfect. If i get to write to Mitch, here's how it'll go:

Dear Mitch,

I love your awesomeness, badassness, sweetness and perfectly built body. I would like you to know that you now belong to the league of my fictional boyfriends! Congratulations!

xx Haze

I love how Mitch handles everything.. He handled Mara and made her come out of her shell. He handled Billie and Billy and made them trust him. He handled those kids' dad who's in jail. He also handled the bad guys and made everybody feel safe. He's such a family guy! He's just perfect. He took care of everything and i love him for it.

Their story is an inspiring one. This is a story that says life can be full of bad things and sometimes you'll be alone.. but if help comes? especially one hot badass help? YOU DON'T TURN IT DOWN. YOU EMBRACE IT WITH ALL YOU'VE GOT AND BE THANKFUL FOR IT.

Another 5! I love Kristen Ashley!

book.fave.rave: GOING UNDER

Another not-so-bad-boy meets not-so-good-girl with my FIVE stars

I am continuously amazed on how authors come out with plots that rock my world. I finished this within 3 hours. I couldn't put it down! I was captivated from the very beginning.

Claire's character is that of a perfect cheerleader with a perfect family and perfect grades. I admit, i didn't like her at first because she and her bff somehow plotted again my beloved Jessie (yes so i loved him from the very first page, haha!). But when she finally ended that charade, it became easier for me to like her. I think she's a very good example of a teenager who wants to be accepted by everybody so she goes with the norm and moves inside her safe zone. Too bad she didn't see Jessie coming. Jessie of course, is wayyy out of her safe zone.

Jessie is the bad boy turned good because of LOVE. I've seen it done so many times on other young adult novels, but i don't really get tired of it. It's always good to read about a hot young man who reforms because of a girl. Jessie's circumstances may not be perfect at first, but he sure got a happily ever after. His goal was to have a scholarship thru football..and yet. plans change.. In the end, it turns out that all he needed was his brain. Awww Jessie. If he was real, i'll tell him how happy i am because he got more than what he wanted in life. He got what he deserved after everything that happened to him. Of course, he's also blessed to have a fantastic author. haha.

Their story had me laughing, bouncing, giddy and anxious excited. Frankly, i would say that it ended all too soon... but reading the epilogue? I guess i'll let it (the length of the novel) slide. ^_^

book.fave.rave: SOMEBODY TO LOVE

I fell in love all over again

This novel not only revolved around love. It also revolved around friendship, parenthood, forgiveness and second chances.

Parker may not be the perfect writer but she definitely tries hard to be a perfect mother. Her character has been through many patches in life. Catching your father with your babysitter when you're ten and then not having him in your life after that, having a baby with her best friend's husband and now losing your house because your father was a scum...Surely those things would hurt you. Parker soldiered on. She's a fighter. She's the rich-but-not-anymore that i would like to be if this thing happens to me someday. I like her because she's strong and confident. I love how she cares for her son. They have a really good bond here in the book. I would forgive her not-so-good treatment of James at the start of the novel since they eventually become sweet to each other.

James's life hasn't been all hearts and flowers too. He'd been most definitely attracted to Parker from the start, but because of an incident, their relationship has been halted. His character is such a lovable one. I was having a hard time not to pull him out of the book and make him a real man. Oh, the tragedy of having fictional crushes. I honestly love James because of his sweetness. His thoughts are just so sweet it's like eating candies. I wanted to shake Parker at some point but decided not to since of course, i figured she'll realize her mistakes in the end. I hated his parents because hello?? it's not your 12 year old son's fault that a freak accident happened and screwed up the brain of your princess (harsh? sorry, i seem to have developed a strong protective feeling for James haha!) .. but anyway, all's well that ends well on that part. I also thought Nicky would not like James until the end, thank God the author is such a genius!! And the grand gesture in the end?? TOTALLY NOT LOST TO ME. I ate it all up.

I am so happy for this happy ending.

This one most definitely is a 5 for me. =)

QUOTE.FAVE.RAVE: Date a Girl Who Reads

I'd like to share a beautiful quote that i found in goodreads. This one says it all about readers like me. =)

“You should date a girl who reads.
Date a girl who reads. Date a girl who spends her money on books instead of clothes, who has problems with closet space because she has too many books. Date a girl who has a list of books she wants to read, who has had a library card since she was twelve.

Find a girl who reads. You’ll know that she does because she will always have an unread book in her bag. She’s the one lovingly looking over the shelves in the bookstore, the one who quietly cries out when she has found the book she wants. You see that weird chick sniffing the pages of an old book in a secondhand book shop? That’s the reader. They can never resist smelling the pages, especially when they are yellow and worn.

She’s the girl reading while waiting in that coffee shop down the street. If you take a peek at her mug, the non-dairy creamer is floating on top because she’s kind of engrossed already. Lost in a world of the author’s making. Sit down. She might give you a glare, as most girls who read do not like to be interrupted. Ask her if she likes the book.

Buy her another cup of coffee.

Let her know what you really think of Murakami. See if she got through the first chapter of Fellowship. Understand that if she says she understood James Joyce’s Ulysses she’s just saying that to sound intelligent. Ask her if she loves Alice or she would like to be Alice.

It’s easy to date a girl who reads. Give her books for her birthday, for Christmas, for anniversaries. Give her the gift of words, in poetry and in song. Give her Neruda, Pound, Sexton, Cummings. Let her know that you understand that words are love. Understand that she knows the difference between books and reality but by god, she’s going to try to make her life a little like her favorite book. It will never be your fault if she does.

She has to give it a shot somehow.

Lie to her. If she understands syntax, she will understand your need to lie. Behind words are other things: motivation, value, nuance, dialogue. It will not be the end of the world.

Fail her. Because a girl who reads knows that failure always leads up to the climax. Because girls who read understand that all things must come to end, but that you can always write a sequel. That you can begin again and again and still be the hero. That life is meant to have a villain or two.

Why be frightened of everything that you are not? Girls who read understand that people, like characters, develop. Except in the Twilight series.

If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are.

You will propose on a hot air balloon. Or during a rock concert. Or very casually next time she’s sick. Over Skype.

You will smile so hard you will wonder why your heart hasn’t burst and bled out all over your chest yet. You will write the story of your lives, have kids with strange names and even stranger tastes. She will introduce your children to the Cat in the Hat and Aslan, maybe in the same day. You will walk the winters of your old age together and she will recite Keats under her breath while you shake the snow off your boots.

Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads.

Or better yet, date a girl who writes.”

book.fave.rave: MAKING YOU MINE (Moreno Brothers #5)

OMG.OMG.OMG.OMG.OMG!!!!!

I actually do not know how to review this. I was so engrossed with Angel's POV that i almost forgot Sal's story. Haha. I think i will just cut this review into half.

Sal and Grace's story:

I was expecting Sal to be the boring brother. I should've known better. Ms. Reyes doesn't make a boring character. Oh well. Sal isn't far from Angel's and Alex's character. He's protective, serious and hot too... he's just too much into details. Gracie on the other hand, is so young and vibrant. Yes, that's my decription of her. She's just so full of life, dreams and spunk. I like it that she aims high in life. She did not dwell on her failings but focused on what she's good at. Their love story is sweet and also based on trust issues. I love it because i never know what's gonna happen next (of course i assumed that they were gonna end up together right, or i'll be devastated at the end). The plot is pretty good. I fell in love with their family all over again. I love the Morenos. They are forever in my list of fave fictional families list. The roles they played to get Sal and Gracie back together again are just so awesome that i wanna see it in real life. I love how the two got together and eventually started their family. I'm happy for their very own happily-ever-after.

ANGEL'S and SARA'S story:

I have mixed feelings with this story. Just like their book, i don't understand how Sara can love Sydney and not be "in love" with him.. but when i look past that, this pov is just so perfect i could just cry. I love what happened to them! I am so touched by their baby's story. I was a NICU nurse for a while and i know what it's like to see babies hooked on tubes. It's heartbreaking to watch them. I can just imagine what it's like for parents. Ms. Reyes probably was spot on when it came to their emotions. Angel and Sara's story is inspiring especially since Sara had a hard time getting pregnant. The frustration, pressure and emotional rollercoaster of trying to get pregnant was so easy to see in this pov. Anyway... they also had their happily-ever-after.. and for that.. i'm happy for them.. ^_^

Perfect!

Please give me more from Ms. Reyes! ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: UNLAWFUL CONTACT (I-Team #3)

BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL AMAZINGLY PERFECT STORY!!!

Where do i start? Well damn, this has got to be my most emotional action - suspense romance novel so far. Sitting here right now at 1am thinking of what to type.. my mind is still in scrambles. The story left my brain foggy. I am one happy reader.

First of all, this is one good getting-back together story. The main characters knew each other waaayyy back and rekindled the flame. That rarely happens and in fiction, rarely works for me.. and yet.. this novel just wormed it's way into my heart. Hunt and Sophie met when they were still teenagers and then went on separate ways. After 12 years, circumstances make their worlds clash again and then things got hot, heavy and action packed. Hunt is one great hero! He sacrificed his own freedom for his sister. He's always thinking of others before himself. He had lots of bad experiences during the time that he was imprisoned and yet, in the end, he was willing to go back. Sophie on the other hand.. i admire her for her courage and faith. She always believed in Hunt. The plot had so many twists and turns but one thing remained constant, the story is interesting! I was never bored. Not one bit. I sweeaarr i'm so happy about the ending right now i could just die. I wasn't surprised that Julian and Hunt became close! I mean, they kinda have the same background. I love it that they all welcomed Hunt and gave him a second chance(yeaaahh everything's all about Hunt! I love Hunt! Go Team Hunt!!!).

This is one helluva novel! i admit to crying at some parts (uhuh sappy sappy sappy me) and to also to jumping for joy at some especially the ending!! WHAT AN ENDING! I can't help but set high expectations for the next book....

book.fave.rave: CALLUM & HARPER

AWWWWWWW invoking

Callum and Harper's childhood may not have been the best, but they surely had a lucky streak ever since they met each other.. well, kind of if you don't count being robbed, mugged or their house burning down.

I will forever remember how sweet i found this novel to be. From the very beginning down to the last page.. it never failed me. Okaaayy.. so i love hearts and flowers and fluffy scenes.. is that a problem? LOL. Their constant flirtation was heaven in my eyes. I love that after everything that happened to them, they stayed with each other. I found the repetitive conflict scenes with John Bell truly annoying. I know it's all good cuz that's part of the story.. but i wish there were less of those scenes. I actually whooped when i read about how that guy died, ugh.

Callum is a very ideal guy. He's smart and even though he's been through a lot, he straightened out and believed that he can make it. I thought Harper was super tough at first.. but then i noticed that she's soft on the inside really. I guess the tough part was just bravado brought about by her situation in life. While reading the book.. i can't help but feel like i want to be Harper.. or maybe one of their friends. Am i crazy for wanting to be a fictional character? Well.. if i am.. i don't care.haha.

I'm soooo glad i gave this one a chance. I love it!! =)

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: LADY LUCK (Colorado Mountain #3)

BEST.STORY.EVER

Yes, i think Lady Luck has the best story for Colorado Mountain Series so far. Ty is just the man!!! He's my kind of guy! Man of few words.. but when he speaks, he's either intense or seriously sweet. I love how he is with Lexie. They're just MFEO (MADE FOR EACH OTHER!! ^_^ ).. Lexie is definitely someone that i wanna be friends with! She knows when to fight back but she's also not afraid to cry sometimes. That's what girls do! She's creative, fun, sweet and really lovable. Like i said, MFEO!

I also enjoyed the plot. This one's got more action and a wicked web of conspiracy. I like how it ended .. safe to say i like everything about it!

Way to go Team WALKER!!!

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: THE DARKEST SEDUCTION (Lords of the Underworld #9)

HOT! GREAT STORY! LOVELY CHARACTERS AND ALL THAT JAZZ!!

I knew it. I knew i would love it!

Warning.. lots of EXCLAMATION POINTS BELOW!!!

Paris is the holder sex so no doubt the book is friggin hot!! I have been waiting for the story of Paris for like forever and once i got it.. well, there's no turning back! 4 hours of grinning, laughing out loud etc etc.. it was all worth it! I was so afraid that this one would fall short of my expectations.. but oh!! i should have trusted Ms. Showalter for a happily ever after!

I like how the story became more vast and meaningful since all sides were already presented. The two main characters Sienna and Paris are perfect for each other. I know that they are tailored to suit one another but damn they took to it to another level! I had my doubts about Sienna since she died and all.. i thought she was going to make it hard for Paris. Turns out, she wants him badly too so no problem there. Paris on the other hand.. oh my sweet, sexy and smart man... he's too good to be true. He battled his way to Sienna so i think he deserved her all the more. I am so glad that things worked out for him.. jumped for joy when he found out his married! haha! I'm sooo happy for all the Lords. I didn't expect the ending! NOT AT ALL!! I was so dumbfounded!! It is totally a game changer AND SOOOOO PERFEFECT!!! ^_^

Is there going to be another book for LOTU? I hope so. But i couldn't think of a better finale for this series other than this book.. hmm..

So thereeee 5 STARS!!!!

book.fave.rave: BECAUSE OF LOW

Can't count my ooohh's and ahhhh's

I really love how Ms. Glines weaves a story. This one's definitely a must-read!

I liked Marcus from Breathe.. but in this book, I LOVE HIM. He's such a sweet, sweet guy! .. a gentleman and a based on the book, dang hot. Low suited him well in the story. He's soooo sweet to her and I love their house-moments. Low has her issues but i'm glad they got past that. Her relationship with Cage bugged me a lot. I honestly thought that they will have some sort of love triangle. Anywayyy.. everything went well and let me just say, i didn't see that one coming! I mean, the conflict in the end made me think that i was about to read a bad ending again. Thank God it wasn't!! ^_^

I feel so happy and satisfied and ready to move on to another feel good book.

book.fave.rave: DREAM CHASER

Such a sweet sweet novel about finding courage and love.

I am so happy i got the chance to read Dream Chaser. I am a big fan of dance movies like Step Up, Save the Last Dance etc... and so i was very excited to read this. I cannot believe how much i can relate with Willow.. stage fright, fear and all. I very much admire her because she worked really friggin hard. I didn't have a hard time imagining their scenes. Her hardship with regards fear to me was understandable.. but she was able to overcome it. I lovelovelove Willow and Eli's relationship. They're just too sweet and sooo funny at times. I love how they got each other back and overcame obstacles together. I also loved Tyson's character. He's my kind of director. Haha. Willow's relationship with her family was also great to read too. Her mom and dad's soooo cool.

What i love most about this is Willow's attitude towards everybody. When everyone was pretty much ignoring her, she was still fighting and did her best. I love her confidence and her persistence, her ways to improve are just..outstanding. In the end, it all paid off and i think she became a better person.

So all in all.. I LOVE IT! ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: PERCY JACKSON - THE LAST OLYMPIAN

GREAT END TO A REALLY GREAT SERIES!!!

This book gave me everything i want... Literally!

It gave me:

✔Action
✔Adventure
✔Mystery
✔Fun
✔Excitement
✔Humor -- LOTS AND LOTS OF HUMOR
✔Twists and Turns
✔Answers to questions
✔LOVELOVELOVE ❤❤❤
✔Realizations
✔VICTORYYY!!!!

This novel succeeded in making me a really BIG fan of Rick Riordan. I will definitely recommend this to everyone.. kids, teens and those young at heart. I love the way the story unfolded. The plot is really good. The twists and turns just right.. and oh.. lots of love. Even though of course, there was a war and lots of casualties, it was still oh so good. Their victory was soooo good that i can overlook the casualties. It was as if i'm hearing how each and every character were connected with each other. Listening to what they were doing made me feel like i was really there. I soooo wanted to be a demigod too! haha! I love it! The author is definitely a genius!

I adore the whole series!!!

I've never felt this way for a series.. well, not since Harry Potter.. and they have totally different stories.

So yeah.. YOU HAVE TO READ IT!!!! THIS IS PERFECT!!!

book.fave.rave: GEEK GIRL

If i can live a fictional life, i would like to be Jen.

First off... i'm a big, larger-than-life HUGE like really friggin huge fan of Heart on a Chain so reading another work of Ms. Bennett has been one of my missions ever since. Geek Girl did not fail me. I was so afraid that it won't live up to my expectations after HOAC, but wow.. it blew me away. I actually love it!

The story isn't just bad girl meets geek guy. It was about how a girl found her self by trying to be as bad as she can be. Hmm.. was that confusing? well.. Jen was kind of.. a badass. She did what she want and went by her own rules. When she tried to reform Trev-or and make him go to the dark side (haha star wars geek here), she was the one who was reeled in by the force instead. That made this story totally cute. Of course things isn't all just warm fuzzies. When things got rough, she already had a support center and that's what i'm happy about. This girl who tried her best to look bad at first gained friends and a whole family. I like it. If Jen was a real person, i'll definitely congratulate her for her luck in life. This is also the reason why i want to be her in a fictional life.haha!

I love how Trevor's character came to be. He is most definitely a geek and yet, he's somehow cool and based on the book. . .has really nice dimples. So i guess he's cute right? I love it that he is soooo nice, respectful and really paid attention to Jen. I also like it that he didn't make it easy for Jen when things blew up. I like it that he gave Jen the anger she deserved and she in turn learned a lot from it. Not to be mean of course, but you know.. we learn to value things when we lose it..and that's usually when we realize stuffs. The whole getting back together was soooo good.. it made me really squeal/laugh/jump up and down.

Anyway...

This story tells us that no matter how bad the world was to us, there's always hope. It's one thing that we can never lose especially if we still wake up each morning. Anyway... my feelings after this novel? *happy sigh* i think i can sleep now and dream of hearts and flowers.

PERFECT!!! ^_^

P.S.: You ever imagine Jen 10 years after? i think she will be such a cool mom, being part geek and part reformed party girl..added to the fact that she cooks.. That would be a riot! =)

book.fave.rave: ARTICLE 5

WHAT A GUNDAM GREAT NOVEL! (yes, i purposefully misspelled)

I leaned my head on his shoulder, feeling a sudden wave of fatigue. The fear and anger had been left to simmer until a later time when they might actually make sense, and though I knew it was temporary, I was relieved. We were safe and together, and that was all that mattered now.

That line above is probably the one line that made me exhale loudly in this whole novel. This is one helluva kick ass, bone breaking, teeth chattering, door knocking, heartwarming, gun blazing novel!! I honestly held my breath all the way to December! Well, maybe i took shallow breaths but still...woah!

I already expected that i would be beholden by this novel. The moment i added this to my to-read list.. i just knew i was bound to love it. The blurb was the one who caught my sight at first. And then reviews started coming... and then i was dying of waiting... (as with almost all of my 2012 upcoming books yet this one is special). When i started reading it, i couldn't help but take a few minutes for a breather. Scenes were that intense. There was almost no room to let my guard down as a reader. It seemed as if every time i started to be happy with one scene, another scene comes along and crushes my hope. No, i did not read the ending.. i figured, if it was going to have a bad ending then i'm gonna be totally disappointed but i was going to FINISH IT no matter what. I am so glad with the ending. I am indeed satisfied.

The characters were likable. Ember.. hmm, even if i thought she was stupid because she let herself get caught near the end, i guess it was all part of the story. If it weren't for her, they wouldn't have known what it's like inside the enemy's territory. I like that even though she had so many doubts, she was able to think things through on tougher situations. I like it that she cooperates when put in pressure. I feel bad about her mom because during the whole novel, i felt that she's the only guiding force for Ember. Anyway... there's still Chase so that lessens my feeling bad. Chase is... such a good guy that it's hard to be pissed at him. He's what i call i'm-big-and-strong-mysterious-and-brooding-but-i'm-sweet-and-kissable-when-persuaded. I love him. His character is really awfully self sacrificing that i hated Ember at some point for not recognizing his pain. I like it that no matter what, he was always thinking about Ember..

He kneeled before me. “No. You are my home.”

Mygosh, i love that line! sappysappy but i love it. I was going to wish that this novel had been longer but thinking about how many minutes / hours i spent gritting my teeth and holding my breath.. i'm glad it ended quickly.. and on a light note.

I would not.. could not possibly forget the Story of Article 5. I was taken aback when i found out what the title means but i guess it truly fits. I was thinking, if things that happened in this book would happen to me in real life.. i'll go crazy. This novel made me appreciate my freedom again. I'm giving it a perfect score ^_^

Looking forward to the next one.

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: POSSESS

SCARED THE SHIT OUTTA ME. MADE ME CRY. MADE ME ANGRY. MADE ME LAUGH. MADE ME FEEL ALL FLUTTERY INSIDE. IN SHORT... A DAMN GREAT YA!

Okay.. first off, reading this novel and finishing this at 3am of Friday the thirteenth? so not cool! so friggin scary and yes, just a little coincidence.. yea i keep telling my self that. The author is sooooo great to have made me feel an array of emotions.

scared:

The book started with the feel of THE EXORCIST meets CONSTANTINE meets GHOST WHISPERER teenage version. I, a fan of films with exorcisms was just dumbstruck with the first exorcist scene here in the book. I mean, i can't help but imagine it vividly. The other exorcist scenes are just as scary. The doll scenes especially. Mygawd., i think i'll be having nightmares about that. You see, like Bridget.. i have a thing against dolls. After watching one episode of Are you Afraid of the Dark, i swore them off my shelves. So anyway.. that is how scary / creepy the novel is.

angry:

This is non demon related. The issue with her mom flirting with two men (OR MAYBE JUST ONE) is just.. anger -arising. If i had been Bridget, i think i'll be angry as well. Also Alexa? ugh, i was soooo looking forward to cat fight.

sad / tear-jerker:

All scenes involving Bridget missing her dad are tear-jerkers. Especially when she found out that the cat was actually his dad's representation,, uhh i could just cry with her!

all fluttery:

Of course, scenes with Matt. He's just the type of character that the main character would likely depend on. He's always there for Bridget and he's been very understanding and helpful given the bizarre situation. I Honestly, even without a love interest, i would've loved the book as much. This love side is just a plus for the novel.. and a great plus at that.. although i'm still wondering what the energy thing is about.

*sigh* This will be a series right? I sweeaarr.. Bridget is just plain awesome i wanna be her! i wanna say:

This is who I am. I’m Bridget Liu and I’m a Watcher.

this one's just perfect but please let there be a next book soon....

book.fave.rave: THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

❤❤❤Is it Valentine's day today? Nah, i'm pretty sure it's not.. otherwise my facebook would be full of Happy Birthdays. After reading this book... it's so easy to pretend that it is Valentine's day.

description

For the hearts and flowers part:

I love fluff.. i live for happy endings and i truly am glad that this book has everything i want. I admit that this book kinda reminded me of Serendipity. The coincidences that happened here were really convenient. They somehow managed to meet, be on the way to the same country and then be seatmates on a plane. The main characters' circumstances in life led them into a kind of friendship on the plane. And then they became attracted to each other within 24 hours. Is that possible in real life? I really don't know.. but did it work in this novel? Hell Yeah! Their personalities were just perfect. I love it that the author made their plane ride super sweet that as a reader, i can't help but wish that i'm on the girl's place. haha!

❀❀❀I imagine them like this...awwww❀❀❀

description
(Drew Barrymore and Justin Long in an airport)

Yes, the book is indeed full of hearts and flowers and did i expect those? yes i did. What i didn't expect though is the tear-jerker parts. Maybe because the novel was tackling an issue close to my heart.. and that is, FAMILY. Not that any of my parents have ever been divorced or (view spoiler).. more like i can see how it'll affect me if ever it would happen. Hadley was very close to her dad before everything else happened, i cannot blame her character if suddenly she becomes mean..but to her credit, i think that the way she coped with the situation is admirable. I was ready for more teenage angst, but evidently, her character wasn't patterned to be like that.

In the end, she accepted things for what they are. I love her thought here

❝He’s still her dad. The rest is just geography❞

For Oliver's part... it's a good thing that he met Hadley at the right moment. I think she's just what he needed at a time like that. Oh, you know what.. i think Oliver's character was also needed by Hadley. They obviously both have baggages and sometimes, it's good to let it all out. I'm glad that they both found happiness and were there for each other.

This one's on my fave first reads for 2012! I love it.

P.S. : The Twist behind the title came to me in the middle of their plane ride so.. hmm.. i kinda hate myself because i wasn't surprised anymore. hmpf.

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: ANGELFALL

MY VERY FIRST BOOK READ IN 2012 .. A PERFECT FIVE!!

I'M ON FIRE!!!

description

I WANT THE NEXT BOOK NOW!!

description

GIMME GIMME OR I'LL START SHOOTING!!!

description

I admit that i had high expectations when it came to this book. My close friend recommended it, one of my online buddies did as well.. and then all of a sudden my GR friends were all reading during the Holiday season. I figured i'll probably finish it before New Year but then, i wanted to savor the book so i read it oh so slow....

verdict: 5 ROCKING STARS!

description

i love it!

description

Is it a shocker that i love it? NAH.. i know for a fact that i'm a fan of angels and 2011 taught me how to love dystopian books.. and this one is a combination of both, so yes.. it's a given that i'll love it. The story is amazingly patterned to our modern living. I'm afraid it'll possibly happen in the far far far (i hope) future. I was sooo frikkin curious as to what the angels are really like here.. turns out, they're kind of the bad guys.

descriptiondescription

I wasn't so sure what to make out of Raffe in the beginning. He had that "i'm-injured-but-most-definitely-still-badass" look. He was also sexy, moody and brooding. And then i found out who Raffe really was..

i was like

description

and then i was like....

description
description

Raffe is really a force to be reckoned with! I was so upset about his wings.. but hey, all part of the story eh? He was so very helpful to Penryn and he grew attached to her (i guess) already that my mind is really forming ideas on what'll happen to them on the next book.

Penryn on the other hand.. oh well.. let's just say she's one girl i'm not about to mess up with. I don't wanna! don't wanna! because she'll definitely kick my ass! She's a survivor. Her family was already in chaos before the angels took over and yet.. she endured. Mom's some kind of sicko while her sister is disabled.. i can't even begin to imagine how to be her in real life. Her journey towards the aerie is admirable. The way she pursuaded Raffe to bring her along... well, let's just say that it takes a lot of courage to put on a brave mask when you know you really didn't have that much under your sleeve.

The scene with the twist / revelation about what the angels were doing with the kids and other poeple is really a WTF moment for me. It was like reading an alien novel.. It was brilliantly woven that I swwweeaarr i think i'll be dreaming about the things i imagined those creatures to be.

There are a lot of things that i want to know in the next book...

✴Where did angels come from?
✴How did Gabriel fall?
✴What happened to Penryn's mom.. why does she thinks demons are after her?
✴What is Penryn's true heritage? (if there's any mystery in there)
✴Why are the angels experimenting on human children?
✴What are those awful things in the lab?
✴What are the planning to do to those things?
✴What is Raffe's intention towards Penryn?
✴What'll happen to Paige? will she eat people or remain docile?
and most of all....

✴✴✴WILL RAFFE GET HIS OWN WINGS BACK? I mean, i was heartbroken when his wings were torn off.. and then my heart was crushed and stomped when his sword didn't acknowledge him anymore because of his demon wings. If i was him, of course i wanna fly so i'll take any wings available.. but the issue with the sword and his beautiful wings.. errmm.. i don't think i would ever let it go if i was him.

So anyway... this book proved that sometimes, i could really love a book with a cliff hanger. I believe that the next book will be worth the wait. This one definitely caught my attention. PERFECT plot, characters and feel!
