BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: BEAUTIFUL DISASTER

This novel is definitely one of a kind. I know that it kinda resembles Perfect Chemistry but it has a totally different plot and i love both novels for different reasons. So anyway.. i put off reading this  because its just a random good girl meets bad boy story.. but when i started reading it, oh my, there's really nothing typical or random about it. Its a beautiful story! Don't get me wrong, i am not a fan of violence but the way its written as a part of Travis' character? it makes him sexy, dangerous, frustrating, and even very annoying yet.. he's lovable. I also like how Abby's character is written. I think she's  a really strong woman.. its just that a lot of times, she can be dense adnd very frustrating as well. I like it that she speaks up her mind and i like it that when it comes to Travis, she follows through. I guess from the start of the novel, they were hooked to each other already. Yes, this novel is really like crack. When i finished it the first time, i went back to all of my bookmarked pages (which are a lot!) and after that, i went back to first page and finished the book again. It is an unforgettable novel to me. The whole time i was reading it, its either my heart is fluttering all over the place or i'm anxious as to what will happen next. Definitely no dull moment with Beautiful Disaster. I love it! i'll give it a 10/5 if possible! ^_^

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: WHAT A DRAGON SHOULD KNOW

Oh my.. i passed through a roller coaster of emotions while reading this book. It is hilarious of course, with Gwenvael's self loving character and Dagmar's icy tones. The action/adventure part is not bad as well.. i enjoyed every bit of it. The drama part? ooohh that was so unexpected. I admit, i cried a bit. Its just that i really loved Annwyl's character and i never thought they'd kill her on the third book. Anyway, that scene (scenes) really made me sad and diverted my attention from the main characters of the story..but i was really hoping that someone/something will come along and make it all right, turns out i made the right decision of waiting for something magical to happen. haha! i love the twist. I knew it! i knew the author won't really make me cry and just be sad for the ending. haha.

So there.. back to the main characters. I would say that the author again, made the perfect couple. I love their tandem. I think Dagmar's character is built to be damn intelligent and it worked! =) Gwenvael will always be the most handsome among them but will also be the sweetest.

This is my favorite book from the series so far.. ^_^ a perfect 5!

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: DRAGON ACTUALLY

Another book that made my time worth while. This is my first adult dragon novel (I love Firelight, a young adult novel). and i absolutely love it. It has everything i want in a novel.. a dashing dark and mysteriously handsome Dragon guy and a kick ass with a smart tongue heroine. The story revolves around a sibling war which i kinda found fascinating since it made the novel quite close to being a fantasy novel rather than a romance one. Annwyl is what i would love to be if i ever get the chance to go back to the medieval times. I love her courage and her quick wit. As for Fearghus, the guys is awesome! he's a hero in every aspect but also have a big  sense of humor. Their combination is truly wonderful and i'm definitely giving it a 5/5!!! ^_^

MOVIE.FAVE.RAVE: ROMANTIC FILMS I LIKE BEST

Who's not in love with Sandra Bullock here? i swear... the first time i watched WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING, i was 10 and didn't know much about romance or love but i fell in love with the story right away. This one is a really sweet film about love, family ties and that nobody should feel alone, ever.

One of the best Cinderella type story. I love it because this movie allows everybody to dream. I love how Jlo's character is so strong that she overcame hardships in life and even if she was a maid, she came to terms that she can and she will be better.

What can i say? this is my best bet for a Cinderella type story. A hooker and a corporate raider? awesome. I put off watching this for years and years and i regret it. While my classmates were gushing about how romantic the film is... i am somewhat on another planet not caring about what they were saying. Well i finally found the time and encouragement to watch it.. and oh boy, how wrong i was. I love it!!! like a 10star love it!!! The story line is perfect, characters are so lovable and i admire the concept.. genius! ^_^

I'm moving on into a new job later next month... and letting go of my old habit of being too emotional. 


After making this decision, my mind became at peace and i enjoy life again. 


I'm reading again... ooohhh how i missed reading whenever i want to and whenever i can...

So after promising to my self that i will never get sick again because of work... i was crawling with high fever and coughing my lungs out again two days ago.


Luckily.. i have a great mom and a great dad and this guy (look up) who came and took care of my. My personal angel (well, sort of personal nurse but i prefer angel haha).


Thank God for my health and for people who takes care of me.

Meet my really good friend Jet. She's about 5ft tall (or taller since i'm soooo bad at guessing) Weight? uhm, lower than mine of course! First impression? L-O-N-E-R and always the silent type. Trust me, when i first met her, all i get out of her are 2-3 words max. I finally concluded (after the first 3-4 days of meeting her) that she's just terrible in starting conversations. Haha.. okay so i admit, this is one case wherein my bad bad bad first impressions are horribly false!

Some experiences i remember:

My barkada and i live quite close to each other.. maybe 5 streets apart or so and Jet was always my jeepney partner. She's always the last person to get off the jeep and i before her. At first, we don't talk at all. We stare outside until i get to say goodbye to her. But then things happen and people get closer. I could've sworn that at some point, she wanted to use ear mufflers already just to escape my voice and my redundant stories (me being Ms. Talkative and all).

What exactly happened to make me love Jet? Hmmm.. maybe the jeepney rides after school? or the easy company she always had to offer? She always have been there for any one of us so maybe that's a plus. But one thing that i'll always remember is coming to a realization that Jet is a very observant person. That is why she tends to be silent at first. She observes and keeps them all to her self until you approach her and ask her what she thinks of you. I love her because she pays attention.

I used to talk to Jet (when we were still residing in Manila) for hours and hours. And i remember one time talking to her on our phone here in my new house for 5 freakin hours..and then our monthly bill came.. it's 3thousand plus. Hahaha! What do we talk about? from silly stuffs to gossips, to news, to everyday life and just anything under the sun.

Describing Jet would be fairly eaaassy. She's RATIONAL! so very rational that sometimes, you may mistake her words for something hurtful when really, its not (just get over it!). She has this "if and then" phenomenon going on (uhh, no she can't exactly see the future but she lays possible futures for any choice one may take). If you want advices which are really straight to the point, honest, revealing and all-angles-checked, go to Jet! She won't baby you! Instead, she'll be truthful, supportive and she'll be someone who will let you choose all on your own without frowning because as she always say.."matanda ka na, alam mo na yan" (you're already all grown up, you can handle that on your own). You just make sure that your face is still attached when you find out that what you chose isn't the best..kidding! she won't ever bash you for it. Maybe a little i-told-you-so.. but after that, she's still your friend. She also has a happy disposition in life. I can't precisely say that she's an optimist (since she weighs all angles even the negative side) but i know that whatever she does, she thinks it through and just.. hopes for the best.

I'm not certain if she already know how much i admire her disposition in life, BUT YES.. i admire her easy going and rational personality. I am so proud that i found a friend in her.


OH by the way... she took up Mass Communication. Double the wrong first impression. Can a loner/silent type take up Mass Com? Somehow, i highly doubt it =)

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: FORBIDDEN NIGHTS WITH A VAMPIRE (Love at Stake #7)

BEST BEST BEST novel so far in the series!!! Much better than my previous fave Be Still my Vampire Heart. I was so sure i would hate Vanda but hell, i can be so wrong sometimes. I lover her character.. and i love Phil!!! can i take him home? ^_^

I can testify that all of the previous book in this series is really quite hilarious.. BUT this one? make that times 10! It started on a really light hearted funny note wherein Vanda is summoned for accusations and then later on was sentenced by Roman to an anger management program then Phil volunteered to be her sponsor. I swear i was doubling over laughing at the accusations! haha, it made my night!

As the story progressed, i can really see how Phil is attracted to Vanda, the purple haired girl. I mean, 8 years of flirting? pent up frustrations. I became Phil's admirer when he rescued Vanda from the python. Heroic and very sweet of him to have thought of that (as in when he woke up, the first thing in his mind was Vanda's safety).

I was surprised when war broke out. I didn't see that one coming. The bombings? hell.. i was shocked. I was loving the plot more and more.

I was waiting for Vanda to find out the truth about PHILUPUS. I really thought i'm going to hate her reaction, but it didn't happen.. she actually accepted that Phil is a werewolf (and an Alpha at that!). Maybe her acceptance is due to the fact that Ms. Sparks was kind and clever enough to let Phil save her life lots of times before the "coming-out". I also thought that Vanda's secret would be horrible.. but as it turns out, she only killed some bad guys so its not a shocker, really.


other thoughts: i commend the fact that for once, the heroine isn't anti-vamps (she just had to be anti werewolves.. and oh, behold, the hero just had to be one! haha ^^ ). Vanda's character is completely different from the other heroines which makes her a breath of fresh air. I love how devoted Phil is to Vanda. They do make a very nice couple. I feel bad about Dougal's hand (does he also get a happy ending?). And lastly.. GREAT ENDING! i am absolutely happy ecstatic etc about the ending. Best ending so far. ^_^ Now i'm certain that the next books would be oh so great as well! can i give it 10/5 stars? haha!

ANIME.FAVE.RAVE: KATEKYO HITMAN REBORN

ACTION! ACTION AND LOTS OF ACTION! that's what i love about Katekyo! Totally kicks butt and hilarious at the same time! Wayyy better than Naruto (for me) because of its humor and animation. Fast paced and totally gorgeous characters. I love all the surprises, i love how Tsuna started as a no good student only to turn into the Tenth Vongola Boss. I super like the way he kicks enemy's butts just when they thought all hope was lost (happens all the time actually, hell its anime!). Their friendship is totally amusing. Never thought i could love a shounen anime this much.

This anime is awesome because it can make you laugh, cry and cringe! Totally recommend this to everyone. ^_^

book.fave.rave: BE STILL MY VAMPIRE HEART (Love at Stake #3)

I had great expectations with this book. I happen to be a believer of ratings in goodreads and this one had almost perfect 5 stars. I knew i was going to love, like and adore book 3 the moment Angus met Emma. They are so alike that i had no doubt that the pairing is beautiful. Their lines were so hilarious at times that i had to keep my self from laughing my ass off. I can honestly say that this series moved a notch higher on my list of favorites. The first two books were really light hearted while book 3 proved to be action packed, thrilling and still funny which makes it a perfect read.

You just gotta love the Scottish accent. It sort of reminded me of the MacRieve family in The Immortals After Dark Series by Kresley Cole.

P.S - DON'T HATE THE KILT! AND THE SPORRAN! ^_^

book.fave.rave: EXCLUSIVELY YOURS (Kowalski Family #1)

I had fun reading this. Exclusively Yours shows the side of a guy who loved and then lost but never moved on. Joe is such a softy inside that it really makes me go "awwww.." I like him because he cries. I always love a good back-together novel and this one is perfect! The family drama is just right. Terry and Keri (ex bestfriends) fighting? priceless. haha! I can totally recommend this to anyone who loves to read getting back romance. This novel also shows the borderline between home/family and work. Keri is afraid to let go of her dreams and Joe doesn't want to move away from his family (well, at first). Its amazing and i love it! ^_^ 5/5 stars!

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: THE BODY FINDER SERIES

What i like about this series.. is its not a typical teen romance. They're not even typical teens. Violet can sense the dead. Awesome right? until she gets disturbed even in her sleep and gets hunted by bad people. I like it that Violet is not helpless all the time. The confusion of falling in love with your best friend is such a drama. I love it that they didn't focus on one topic only. The theme is mostly centered on their budding relationship, family and her abilities (on the first book).  Followed by the second book which is centered on her relationship with her best friend as well as her growing power. 5/5 stars!

First, who wouldn't get enticed/excited with that blurb? I knew i would love The Eternal Rider the moment i heard about it (like in the 7th book of LOTU). Demonica Series is such a blast for me that i admit its hard to top, but the Eternal Rider, as a start of a brand new series is just as good! Demonica characters are still present in the book and i'm kinda glad about that because i miss them. Its good to know some stuffs after everything that happened with the series (Demonica).  I'm beginning to think that for me, Larissa Ione can't do anything wrong. She can give me any corny line given by a hero and i won't flinch for even a bit, so long as the hero is hot! haha!


Ares/War is a typical alpha male hero tormented by his past. Typical, yet wayyy powerful and immortal! I'm glad that L.I didn't give him a submissive woman. I'm proud for what Cara stands for.. DEFIANCE from women! on your face Ares! haha ^_^ 


Cara makes me wish that i have my very own hellhound..that would be soooo cool!


Looking forward to the next books. I am so intrigued by Limos. I bet she kicks ass! 


Highly recommended to paranormal romance lovers! if you think you liked Demonica, ah well.. MAKE WAY FOR THE LORDS OF DELIVERANCE yay! 5stars!!!!

BOOK.FAVE.RAVE: THE DARKEST SECRET (Lords of the Underworld #7)

I am a big big big fan of The Lords Of the Underworld Series and i admit.. i knew i was going to love Amun's story the moment i heard that his book was to come out next. I've been intrigued and crushing on Amun and Torin for the longest time (like when i first read about their characters). There's just something mysterious and striking in them at the same time, they seem to be gentle. So i was freaking out already when i got my copy. I wanted to wait for Larissa Ione's book (Eternal Rider) because its a start of a new series.. i kinda wanted to read that first, but i don't have a copy yet so i jumped in and read this. What i love about Amun is his vulnerability and his gentleness. I love that he's somewhat both alpha male and gentle as well. I love that he gets mushy whenever Haidee does something to him out of the blue. I love the plot, the new characters oh.. I JUST LOVE THE BOOK! 5 stars!! ^_^

book.fave.rave: TRUE NORTH

I'm seeing a pattern in Marie Force's works. Her works mostly involves Love At First Sight. I don't know the "The Fall" didn't work for me.. but this one,, oh my gosh, i fell for this one. True North is a very touching breath of fresh air. Why? Because this is the first time that i've read about a heroine who works as a model. Well, i never imagined anyone having regrets of being a model..but in this story, Liana is tired of it. The media is getting on her nerves. While Travis on the other hand is just starting to have a steady business in town, but he plans to stay.

I guess this is pretty much predictable (the love part between Travis and Liana), but the whole story is just striking. Especially when Marie Force added Beck and Jessie. They're just meant for each other. I love how Travis cares about Liana and how he went to her shoot at the end...and of course, the 7M contract, Love it! 5 stars =)

The Story of my Life by Neil Diamond is included in the novel. Travis heard this when he decided to pursue Liana. He went to Madrid after ^_^

anime.fave.rave: FLAME OF RECCA

If you're a filipino kid born on maybe.. 80's and 90's and you watch channel 7.. You must know who Recca Hanabishi is. I never did finish the tagalized version of this so i decided to watch it fully (in english..i hate subs). It still is one of the greatest shounen anime ever. I will forever remember this series. Love the fights and the plot as well. I can never get over the 8 dragons.

My favorite hot guys from various novels. I'm still star struck by the "Everyone Loves a Hero" cover. It captured my attention the moment i first laid my eyes on it. Second maybe is my recently read novel "Perfect Play". Notice how the guy in the cover shows a lot of ripped muscles and is casually leaning on the wall? its crazy, i just feel like its soooo normal. Like a football guy really does that and its awesome because he's hot. ^_^

book.fave.rave: THE DARKEST HOUR (KGI #1)

I waited what? a week before i read this book (read it out of sheer boredom). It turned out to be much more than what i expected. This is a great novel about second chances. And its not just the girlfriend-boyfriend-gets-back-together second chances, also not the out-of-divorce way... but a back from the dead type of second chance. Ethan was led to believe that his wife Rachel died in an airplane crash over a year ago and then suddenly, he receives a mail containing proofs that his wife was still alive.

I thought that after they get Rachel out of the hell hole everything would be kinda predictable... but no. Everything wasn't what i expected. Rachel had problems with her memory and is also suffering from drug withdrawal so the whole family needed to help her out in any way.

I admire the resilience of the whole family. This is the first novel wherein i loved the whole family more than i loved the hero. I couldn't put the book down. Its action packed and has a very interesting plot. The funny thing is, Rachel the heroine seem to have her very own harem consisting of all the boys in the Kelley family. I love how they care for her and how they all want her safety. I also love how the family stick up for one another. I love Sam, Garett. Donovan, Joe and Nathan! I even love their mom and dad. What a perfect example for a family. Awesome action-romance novel! 5 stars! ^_^

book.fave.rave: THE PERFECT PLAY (Play by Play #1)

Ahem, of course, see that bod? who wouldn't get distracted? haha! i found this book while browsing @ goodreads. I read it right away, and fortunately.. the cover lives up to the whole story. I love it. Mick is such a hunk. He's popular, good at what he's doing and he's even intelligent (not one of the cliche' dumb football players). Tara on the other hand is not a typical heroine. She's a single mom who's been through A LOT from her childhood and so on. I like, love, adore the plot. At some point, yeah, maybe i wanted to strangle Tara just a little because of my frustration towards her character. No major conflict, which made this book for me, a feel-good read. Oh, did i say i love it? I LOVE IT! 5/5

AMAZING! I totally love the plot.. but mostly i just LOVE ASH! He doesn't do what i expect him to do all throughout the book. Even though Margaret has a little bit of damsel-in-distress complex, she's strong and i love her defiance. haha! i love how ash makes all girls swoon like the scene wherein they weren't supposed to appear to know each other, and Margaret was with her pretend-friend, and then ash said this

"I knew the instant Margaret spoke that she intended to use me as a weapon. What you fail to understand is this: I am her weapon to use."

It's a great novel! I love it  5/5 stars! ^_^

MOVIE.FAVE.RAVE: CLUELESS

As ifff! That's Cher's (Alicia Silverstone) line in this pretty movie Clueless. I adore it. This is like a mean girls movie except that Cher is totally not mean, just plain popular. I think Paul Rudd is really cute here. I love it! The story is simple but the characters are eye candy ^_^

Love this song! ^_^

book.fave.rave: JUST THE SEXIEST MAN ALIVE

This by far, is my FAVORITE feel good contemporary romance. I love it how Julie James spiced up her novel with a movie star and a top attorney. Its a modern day Cinderella. I love love love the character of Taylor Donovan. She doesn't let others bring her down on or off court. Jason Andrews on the other hand, is a  spectacular hot dream guy. I wass laughing out loud while reading the book. Ahem, i felt like i was Taylor. I wanted to be HER. i just adore their roles and their love story. I know i said that Love at first sight works for me, but their love story that just developed somewhere along the road beats everything. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars.
